Travelling to Luxor is a lifetime experience, as if in a time machine that takes you back to the great times of Egypt’s legendary kings, queens, deities and above all Egypt’s exquisite capital of civilization.
An early morning start (5h00) takes you to a 4h drive across the dust-dry desert to Luxor (ancient Thebes), the greatest outdoor museum in the world.
You'll step back into Egypt's ancient history by visiting the Temple of Karnak on the east bank, then cross the Nile to see the Colossi of Memnon, the mortuary Temple of Queen Hatchepsut and the Valley of the Kings or Queens. Admission to 3 tombes.
The Nile River is a companion in your trip, it flows along the Cornish road, with many local felucca and boat sailors.
Return in the late afternoon.
